Pastor Alvin J. Hamilton II serves as the Youth and Young Adult Pastor of The Life Church RVA, affectionately known as TLC. There, he oversees the discipleship, and programming of the middle school, high school, and college community of TLC, also known as TLCYTH. 

Pastor Alvin also serves as a traveling preacher, discipling and equipping audiences of all demographics and generations with biblical truths. He also is the host of a podcast titled Coffee with Abba, where he invites others into his personal prayer time and conversations with God! Coffee with Abba has now reached international audiences that include Ghana, Germany, Sweden, and Puerto Rico!

Pastor Alvin is from Chesapeake, Virginia but a Track & Field Scholarship led him to Richmond, Virginia. In 2018, he decided to forego his athletic eligibility at Virginia Commonwealth University to focus on carrying out the call of God on His life. He spends his time serving local churches, leading God’s people, and teaching God’s word. Pastor Alvin has made it his mission to introduce Christ to the current and future generations through building relationships and preaching the word of God. 

Pastor Alvin enjoys building relationships with young people, creating content that builds faith in others, and helping everyone become the greatest version of who God has called them to be. In 2022, Pastor Alvin was nominated and received Youth Impact RVA’s Youth Pastor of the Year Award for excellence in ministry and making lasting changes in communities throughout Virginia.
